The breathtakingly beautiful Oravareitti canoeing route leads from Juva to Sulkava through rivers, small lakes and rapids. Oravareitti - The Squirrel Route - is also the first biologically studied Finnish water nature trail. This signposted route is suitable even for first time paddlers and families.
The route is safe, with interesting sights as well as resting places and accommodation along the route. It will take approximately two days to paddle through the whole route, but you can also try out shorter distances from a few hours session to a day trip. Oravareitti canoeing route is suitable for both canoes and kayaks. The route is at its best in the late spring once the lakes are free from ice, and it is usually accessible all summer, depending on the water level.
We hire out canoes, kayaks and other equipment. We also give advice on the route and if needed, organize transport back to where you started from!
